You might have not heard this but starting april 22 2010 the EPA issued a new RRP rule ( Renovation, Repair and Painting ) requiring the use of lead safe practices.  This law states  “Under the North Carolina Rules (PDF), beginning April 22, 2010, dust sampling technicians, firms, and individuals performing renovation, repair and painting projects for compensation that disturb lead-based paint in homes and child-occupied facilities built before 1978, must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. Child-occupied facilities include, but are not limited to, child care facilities and schools with children under the age of 6 years of age that are built before 1978″ .  We have a link below if you would like more details and please forgive us for any price increases on any homes or childhood facilities built before 1978.  Unfortunately we will have additional charges as lead samplings and new procedures will be applied.  Noncompliance to this rule will face fines up to $32,500 and or jail time.
